Stop Accessibility

Before travelling, it is important to check whether the desired stops are enabled for boarding and alighting by people with disabilities, by consulting the list available to download in pdf format here, in accessible text format here, via the CTM Cagliari Official App or by calling the dedicated toll-free number 800.00.44.33. To provide people with disabilities with adequate information, appropriate stickers with operational travel instructions are posted at shelters and inside buses.

At accessible stops — those where safety conditions exist — green or blue stickers like the ones shown below are present:

Green sticker

The presence of the green sticker at the stop and/or shelter means that the stop is enabled for use of the manual ramp for boarding and alighting from the bus, even without an accompanying person.

Blue sticker

The presence of the orange sticker indicates that the stop is not accessible.

Additionally, on board the vehicles there is a sticker with operational instructions, which specifies the following:

Additionally, on board the vehicles there is a sticker with operational instructions, which specifies the following:

• Signal to the approaching bus driver your intention to board.
• If the stop is obstructed (or unsuitable for use of the manual ramp), the driver will be unable to allow the person with a disability to board.
• Once the driver has assessed the safety of the stop and opened the ramp, board independently or with the help of an accompanying person. The driver will provide all useful information for correctly fastening the seatbelts or booking the stop but will not be responsible for assisting the customer during boarding and alighting.

• Take position in the reserved area (the space is approved for one wheelchair). Fasten the seatbelts (where provided), always brake the wheelchair facing backwards, press (where present) the button that will notify the driver that the journey can begin.

• Press the stop request button in good time.
• Wait for the driver to assess the safety conditions of the stop and open the ramp and authorise alighting, before unfastening the seatbelt and releasing the wheelchair brake.
• If the stop is obstructed (or unsuitable for use of the manual ramp), the driver may offer to let you off at the nearest suitable stop. For further information, the toll-free number 800.00.44.33 is active Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 19:30. Saturday from 8:00 to 14:30.
