Amicobus Extended to Flumini from 2 January 2026

From 2 January 2026, Amicobus, the on-demand public transport service for persons with disabilities, will also be active in the outlying areas of Quartu Sant'Elena.
THE AMICOBUS SERVICE: WHAT IT IS AND HOW IT WORKS
Amicobus is an on-demand service provided under the Service Agreement between CTM and the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, which supplements the standard public transport offer. It is dedicated to persons with disabilities and provides trained assistants on board who support passengers throughout the journey.
The service operates in Cagliari, Quartu Sant'Elena, Monserrato, Selargius, Quartucciu, Assemini, Decimomannu, Elmas (including the airport).
Who can access the service
Amicobus is available to the following categories:
• Persons with disabilities (under Law 104, assessed as requiring intensive support)
• Civil invalids (under Law 118 with 100% disability, or 74% or above)
• Non-self-sufficient elderly persons aged 65 or over and others with certified physical or mental limitations, assisted by municipal social services or local health authority services
Operating hours
Monday to Sunday from 7:00 to 20:00
Booking
Booking is required using one of the following methods:
• Calling freephone number 800 259 745
• Completing the form at www.ctmcagliari.it/prenotazione-servizio
Call centre hours (Monday to Saturday):
• Monday to Thursday: 8:00–13:00
• Friday: 8:00–13:00 and 15:00–19:00
• Saturday: 8:00–10:00
Important: Booking must be made the day before the service is required.
To facilitate Monday bookings, requests can be made on Friday evening (15:00–19:00) and Saturday (8:00–10:00).
For weekend journeys, booking must be made on the previous Friday (15:00–19:00) via freephone number or the CTM website booking form.
How to access the service
The accreditation procedure must be submitted annually via SUS (Unified Healthcare System): https://sus.regione.sardegna.it/sus "Concessional fares for local public transport in favour of persons with disabilities and war veterans and the Amicobus Service"
Free assistance for applications
The Department of Transport has signed a memorandum of understanding with some associations that, by appointment, can provide free assistance in submitting applications:
